Sometimes my ambition gets the best of me…
I think, yea I can totally do that 10 mile run after working an 11 hour day at my desk or I sooo have time to make a complete home cooked meal with fresh bread even if I don’t get home until 8:30PM.
Most of those nights I end up exhausted and in tears! Lately I have had a better handle on my week night ambition. Some workouts and recipes are just made for the weekend! With that in mind I plan to have an awesome weekend with long workouts and some new recipe creations. Here is my plan!
Saturday: Insanity Plyometric Workout, Zumba (AKA Dance Party)
Sunday: Insanity Workout, Intermural Football Game
On the recipe home front I plan to make homemade condensed almond milk! I am very excited to try this out. I can only imagine how good this will taste in brown rice porridges or oatmeal!
I also have been slacking my on bread baking. I admit that I’ve been taking the easy way out and buying fresh local bread but this weekend I want to tackle sugar-free 9 grain bread. I think I will use a mix of the lessons I learned baking whole wheat bread at Le Pain Quotidian and ingredients that are in my easy Irish Soda Bread.
My third cooking goal is to make ginger chews. This one is going to be tougher since there are no recipes for ginger chews anywhere that I can find. Lets hope it doesn’t end up at too much of a recipe fail!
