Last year was a pretty tough year but overall I learned a lot and have gained a better work, blog, friend balance in life.
When I look back at last years goals I realized that I failed miserably by my own standards. But thats ok. I’m pretty positive that 2014 is going to be a great year. Here is a look back at where I wanted myself to be today at this time last year.
1) Daily Mile Counter: I just never used it! I think the only runs I input were the runs from the 2013 Disney Goofy Challenge. Maybe I”ll try to be better at it this year, but maybe you will see it quietly disappear from my blog…
2) Run a half marathon in under 1:50: I didn’t even attempt this one. My race calendar wasn’t too crowded last year. I sort of took a year off from any big run. It felt good. I’m really happy that I didn’t kill myself for this one last year. On the other hand 2014 is my year to break 1:50.
3) Get in killer shape: Yea, this didn’t happen. I had a tough year. Shawn T and Insanity got me in pretty good shape at one point but I never made it to the level I wanted to. I’m currently still down 7-8 pounds and I’m feeling pretty optimistic about this year. No crazy hard to achieve goal this year though.
