Easy Apple Sauce

I had no idea making apple sauce would be so easy. When we were apple picking last week I figured that it was something I would make. If I would have known it was only a 30 minute task I would have got more apples!Growing up I actually did not love apple sauce. I didn’t like the texture. I’m a huge texture freak when it comes to food. Any fellow food texture freaks out there?!?

I primarily made this recipe because my BF needed some healthy snacks to take to work. I’m always happy to make him homemade treats. It’s much better than a trip to the vending machines! I think this would be a fun recipe to make with kids and perfect their school lunch.

I followed The Pioneer Woman’s recipe for the most part. I figure she knows good apple sauce since she is a country home cooking genius. Sure enough… HEAVEN.

Easy Apple Sauce- Not So Perfect Life This homemade easy apple sauce has turned even an apple sauce hater into a lover!

I made about half of the original recipe and it turned out perfect. It’s the type of recipe that is very forgiving. I wish I could bottle up the smell that filled my apartment while I was cooking this.

  1. I’ve never made apple sauce but now I’m inspired to! Looks delicious! Hmmm…what to make next. Are you a big fan of apple pies? I love apple crisp! You could do a big batch in a slow cooker!
