Everyone is all “PSL yada yada.” What about the other fall favorite?
Apples?!?!?! I remember that when I was a kid my mom would make apple pie and I would help her peel and core the granny smith apples. I think I ate more apples than I actually peeled! My mom is a great baker (hello, check out her Fresh Peach Crumb Pie– vegan) so she knows good pie, I think she would even like this protein smoothie if I could get her to try it!
Beautiful granny smith apples mixed with Vanilla Chai Vega protein, probably one of the best ideas I’ve had in a while. I have been testing out different Vega protein powders for while. When I tried the vanilla chai flavor the first thought that came to my mind was apple pie, all it needed was the apple and a touch more cinnamon and nutmeg. Easy, simple, filling and healthy. I love Vega because it is so filling and loaded with good for you things. Seriously any protein shake that taste this good and packs vegetable servings is A-OK with me.
I love guilt free treats… Especially if they come packed with 15g grams of protein AND granny smith apples.
- 1 Scoop Vanilla Chai Protein Powder (I used Vega)
- 1/2 Granny Smith Apple
- 2 Ice Cubes
- 1 1/4 Cup Water
- 1/8 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- Pinch of Nutmeg
- Add all ingredients to your high power blender and blend until smooth.
Fall started this last weekend, what did you do to celebrate? I am in sunny and hot Mexico so I’m not exactly feeling very fall yet.
