I love margaritas in the summer but sometimes you need something a little different. Maybe change is not your style so you want to keep to simple. How about subbing those ice cubs in your frozen margarita for frozen pineapple? Does that seem simple and easy enough? The result is so tasty. In fact if I wasn’t going to work this morning… or running a half marathon tomorrow I might try to enjoy one of these right now.
Any old tequila will work but I used special tequila. For Christmas I bought P and I our own personalized tequila aging barrel. Put crappy tequila into it, turn it once a week and bam five months later higher quality tequila… or just really concentrated tequila. I’m not so sure I’m convinced that it made our Jose Cuervo Gold purer but it definately made it super strong and condensed. Either way I love our little tequila barrel, and P likes it too.
- 1 16 Ounce Bag Frozen Pineapple Chunks
- 1 Cup Tequila
- Juice of Half a Lime
- 0.5 Cup Water
- Ice cubes for serving extra cold!
- Blend all ingredients together in a powerful blender until smooth.
- Serve immediately
There is a lot of tequila in this recipe so beware. Some how the pinapple does a great job at taking the bite off.
You will love the creamy thick texture of this frozen pineapple margarita, its refreshing and something different. Just what you might need to relax on a Friday night in August.
