Since I last wrote and shared with you my mom’s Peach Pie Recipe I have been busy. And Mostly busy running but not cooking
My brother got married last weekend…. Such a fun wedding.
After that we drove down to San Antonio Texas where we relaxed with my family, enjoyed shopping and eating mexican food. I think I ate enough tomotillo sauce to not crave mexican food for at least a month!
Even though I’ve been traveling I made all of my scheduled runs! ALL of them. I can’t believe
Running sprints in hot and humid Texas as not easy. This summer weather is killer, I usually don’t hate the heat but the humidity has been awful. I got back into the city late Wednesday night and it’s not that much better here. I have had to really slow down my pace so that I don’t over-do it. This weekends log run ended up only being 8.5 miles instead of the 10 I wanted to finish, but I just was not feeling great so I am happy that I got as many miles in as I did.
Today I ran a 45 minute tempo run at the early hour of 5:45 AM and then worked a volunteer shift for the NYC Triathlon which my boyfriend was running. I love volunteering for the race because it’s really inspiring and I get guaranteed entry into next years event

Congrats to everyone who finished! It was such a hot day I’m not sure how they did it.
