I recently went through a tough break up. No not me and Peter, were doing better than ever. I broke up with my personal trainer of three years. This month will be the first time in nearly 5 years that I’m going at it alone.
Since moving to New York I have always had a personal trainer. I started training with Edem three years ago. Edem has helped me get stronger than ever and has helped me to be the best marathon runner I have ever been.
After a lot of thought I decided I needed to go at it alone. It was a tough decision but I think a good one. I recently tried out crossfit, which I was hopeing would be a good fit. Unfortunately it just wasn’t the workout I was looking for. Plus I didn’t like the heavy weight works without having someone to spot you.
So what is a girl to do?
I needed a change. Something new, something challenging. And most importantly something hard. In comes Insanity! 60 days of tough sweat inducing workouts.
So far I’m on day four and a little sore but definitely loving the work out. Plus Peter and I are doing it together so I’m not totally going at it alone.
Unfortunately my running will probably take a back seat over the next two months. I have a half marathon scheduled for next weekend which I will probably still run if I can get my IT band issues under control.
I’m hoping that Insanity can help me knock off my winter layer so I will emerge a quicker and leaner runner in the end!
