Happy Chocolate Day, or Valentines Day if you’re celebrating that. Everywhere online there are chocolate recipes. I am NOT complaining!
Do you get surprised daily by a kitchen appliances? Then you don’t own a Vita-mix.
Last night within 4 minutes I had homemade quick vegan hot chocolate for two. Perfect for Valentine’s day or for drinking two guilt free cups of hot chocolate all by yourself! I know not everybody has a Vitamix, but you should. They have cheaper versions that work just as awesome, but don’t have the pre-set buttons.
Hot coco fluffed and foamed to just the right temperature! Yes please! I’m assuming you can fluff and foam hot chocolate in a regular high-speed blender as well. You just have to heat the milk and chocolate first.
Yes that’s chocolate froth on my spoon!
Vanilla almond milk, unsweetened coco powder, a couple of Ghiradelli chocolate chips and a tad bit of splenda make the perfect low calorie treat. This drink is a sure thing to fix any late night sweet tooth.
Quick Vegan Hot Chocolate For Two
1.5 Cups Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
10 Ghiradelli Chocolate Chips (or more if your feeling extra chocolately)
3 Packets Splenda
1) If you have a Vitamix 750 add all your ingredients at once and turn on the soup function. In regular Vitamix or other high-speed blenders turn the machine slowly to high for about four minutes. That should do the trick. The friction does the heating for you.
And if you’re wondering what type of glass jar I am using. It’s a red wine decanter from Disney World, yes that’s Belle
Tonight Peter is taking me out to a nice Italian place in the West Village called Il Mulino. He has been talking about it for years. I’m so happy he is finally taking me there.
